Our Early Head Start team recently hosted its first "Mothers Talk Up," a powerful discussion with community panelists and mothers in our EHS family. Together, they opened up about balancing mental and physical health, advocating for their children in school and managing the daily stresses of motherhood.
The panelists spoke with care, offering advice and powerful words of encouragement, while the mothers courageously shared their own stories and struggles. There was a lot of laughter and hugs, but most importantly, there was a sense that everyone felt supported and a realization that they do not have to do this alone.
Community events like this highlight the importance of providing safe spaces where mothers feel seen and valued, because when mothers thrive, their families and communities grow stronger.
