Valero’s Continued Support Helps Boys Town Programs Grow

January 5th, 2016     By Father Steven Boes, Boys Town National Executive Director

Healing Families, Saving Children

The Valero Foundation recently awarded a combined total of $100,000 to Boys Town Louisiana and Boys Town Texas from proceeds received through the 2015 Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children. Every donated dollar makes all the difference in the world to the life a child who is struggling. That’s why we are so thankful to the Valero Foundation for its continued support of our programs across the country.

Boys Town Louisiana received $40,000 to help more children through the site’s Care Coordination Services. Care Coordination Services is an intensive case management program that helps youth who are preparing to leave foster care because they are turning 18 to transition into independent living.

Boys Town Texas received $60,000 to help support its Foster Family Services, In-Home Family Services, and Common Sense Parenting® classes. Valero’s continues support of all of these programs makes a lasting difference in the lives of thousands of at-risk children and hundreds of struggling families.

On behalf of Boys Town, I wish to send a heartfelt thank you to the Valero Foundation for its generous gift to improve the lives of children and families in need.
