You Can Provide a Fresh Start for a Child in Need

Without Boys Town these children would have nowhere to go and continue to be exposed to physical and emotional abuse. Every day these kids struggle to rise above the wounds of their past and to trust again; to be loved, wanted and appreciated. Thank you for making this possible!

How We Got Started

Boys Town's founder, Father Edward J. Flanagan believed that all children had a right to be valued, protected, and to have their basic needs met. In 1917, he opened Father Flanagan's Boys Home℠, which later became Boys Town. All boys, regardless of their race, creed or cultural background were welcomed to live, go to school, learn valuable skills and get a chance to succeed.

Boys Town: Today and In The Future

Today, Boys Town is one of the largest nonprofit child and family care organizations in the country. We are on a mission to change the way America cares for children by providing a broad spectrum of child and family servicescommunity programs, and crisis services. We also conduct cutting-edge research on child behavior issues, rare diseases, and communication disorders.
