Imagine being a 16-year-old having your world turned upside down, losing your older sister who just graduated from high school to a drunk driver and being bullied to the point of exhaustion.
Imagine being a father whose wife was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. You are tending to her care while also raising your 6-year-old son, who can’t understand why “Mommy is sick.”
Imagine being a tired single mother with two jobs, struggling to parent three children who are being defiant and mom doesn’t know how to make the situation better.
All these scenarios involve real families who, with the caring help of our donors, received services from Boys Town South Florida. When crisis knocks on a family's door, we are there to help parents address and de-escalate the family crisis. We are here for tired mothers, overwhelmed fathers, angry teenagers and many who need support, empowerment, resources and guidance to turn their families' lives into a positive trajectory.
Together, we can change the course of a family’s life for the better.
