“Cheers to 40 Years”


Boys Town North Florida marked four decades of transformative work with its "Cheers to 40 Years" celebration, an evening that combined festivity with a heartfelt celebration of the organization's proud past and a glimpse into our promising future. The event was a resounding success, raising awareness of Boys Town North Florida's life-changing efforts to serve at-risk children and families across Florida.

The celebration, held on Friday, November 3rd, brought together a dedicated group of attendees who embraced the mission of Boys Town North Florida. Guests had the opportunity to meet the youth whose lives have been positively impacted by Boys Town's programs and learn more about the organization's history.

The night was a delight, filled with hors d'oeuvres catered by Jeri Madden’s Simply Entertaining, signature drinks and live music provided by Tallahassee Nights Live – all which helped set the stage for an evening of celebration and unity. Attendees danced the night away, celebrating the organization's remarkable 40-year journey and its commitment to children and families.

In addition to the dancing and festivities, the celebration featured engaging activities such as a Wine Pull and a unique contest where attendees voted on shoes designed by Boys Town youth in collaboration with the Florida State University football team. These creative activities showcased the talents and aspirations of the children served by Boys Town.

One of the highlights of the evening was a motivational speech delivered by Boys Town youth alum, Tryton. He shared his personal journey, emphasizing how Boys Town's intervention had transformed his life, molding him into the person he is today. Tryton's story resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting the vital impact of Boys Town's work.

Boys Town North Florida also took the opportunity to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals who have been champions for children and families. Sheriff Walt McNeil was presented with the Spirit of Youth Award in recognition of his incredible service to the community. His dedication to the welfare of children and families has made a lasting and meaningful impact.
