Boys Town North Florida welcomed the fall season with a festive celebration in mid-October filled with family fun and opportunities to make joyful memories.
The annual Fall Festival brought together children, families, staff and volunteers for a day celebrating the spirit of the season and the importance of connection. The event, a vision of Wayne Longley, long-time Boys Town Family-Teacher, featured a cake walk, costume competition and carnival inspired food. Guests enjoyed a carnival atmosphere with games manned by staff and volunteers.
Events like the Fall Festival reflect the heart of Boys Town North Florida’s mission to save children and heal families. By creating opportunities for youth to celebrate the season, Boys Town helps foster supportive relationships and experiences that help youth thrive. The celebration was also made possible through the generosity of dedicated volunteers from Florida State University.
“It’s always so rewarding to witness youth in a moment of happiness,” said Keely Heitland, Senior Director of Program Operations. “The Fall Festival gives a reason to remember why we support our mission. It is one of my favorite events because it is all about family.”
Boys Town North Florida is grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Fall Festival a success.
