As the weather changes and kids head back to school throughout New England, one thing that remains the same is the continued generosity of the Pare Corporation in Lincoln, Rhode Island. In conjunction with Boys Town New England, Pare employees once again purchased school supplies and backpacks for kids in the Providence and Pawtucket areas.
“The commitment to helping the kids we work with from Pare continues to be so impressive,” Boys Town New England Development Director Glenn Hofmann said. “Every year, Pare employees are excited to get the school year started off in a positive manner by making sure kids have all the necessary school supplies to be successful.”
Each of the backpacks are filled with supplies including notebooks, markers, pens, pencils, paper, erasers and even tissues.
“We want to give these kids that Boys Town works with a head start by offering them backpacks filled with school supplies to encourage a love of learning, and maybe even inspire a future engineer or scientist,” Pare employee Sara Pierce said.
The Pare Corporation was founded in 1970 and is a trusted engineering partner to federal, state and municipal governments, architects, designers, construction companies and owner/developer teams throughout the eastern United States.
Earlier this year, Pare employees spent the day with the Boys Town community on the Portsmouth Bazarsky campus and constructed cornhole board games for each of the five family homes. Pare also regularly takes part in the Boys Town “Adopt A Child” holiday campaign.
