Boys Town Youth Celebrate Black History Month

The youth and staff of the Family Homes and Intervention/Assessment Program spent the afternoon of February 23rd visiting local New Orleans black history spots. They visited AP Tureaud, St. Agustine Church, Back Street Cultural Museum, Congo Square, and Dooky Chase Restaurant. At Dooky Chase, the group met the great grandson of Leah Chase and learned about the historical significance of the restaurant and its many famous visitors during the Civil Rights Movement.
