FAQ'S

I have something that may be of use! Can I drop it off at the office?

Boys Town Louisiana does not accept walk-in donations.  Please contact julia.turkevich@boystown.org  so we can assess your donation against our program needs and arrange delivery to our office. Due to limited resources, we are unable to pick up donations. To respect the confidentiality of our clients, we are unable to arrange for you to deliver donations to them directly.

Do you accept used items?

Generally, Boys Town Louisiana only accepts new/unused donated items. Any exceptions will be noted on the lists above. Should you have a specific item that you think may be of use, please contact infoLA@boystown.org.

Is my in-kind donation tax-deductible?

All donors will receive a tax receipt for their donation after items are donated. Per IRS standards, donors must declare a value of the donation (Boys Town Louisiana will not provide you with a declared value).

I purchased items to donate on Amazon, but didn't receive tax receipt/acknowledgement from Boys Town. What do I do?

Occasionally, some items from Amazon are delivered without names and/or contact information. Please contact julia.turkevich@boystown.org to ensure that we have your contact information and gift record accurately recorded.

For additional questions or ideas (including group volunteer opportunities), please contact Julia at Julia.turkevich@boystown.org.
