Thank you, South Florida Community!

If eyes are the windows to the soul, smiles must be the sign that the soul is content.

Please look at all these beaming, smiling faces, made possible by community members coming together to create a memorable moment for the children and youth we serve.

For the past 33 years, we have held Hope for the Holidays, where corporate partners like The Geo Group and other individual donors come together to provide holiday cheer. When a child receives a gift, they experience the moment they realize they are just a child. All the worries weighing on their little shoulders melt away. A grateful heart is an understatement of how we feel when we see all these beautiful souls with complete joy.

Thank you always to our wonderful Hope for the Holidays leader, Elizabeth Lopez-Smith, for organizing all these years. We would not have been able to do this without her commitment to ensuring the families we serve have a beautiful holiday season.

The fun doesn’t just stop there. The families we served also had the opportunity to attend The Bell, an adaptation of The Polar Express, graciously provided by Dance Theater of Florida. In December, our families experienced the holiday spirit through the ballet performance, which not only sparks imagination but also fosters belief and wonder, promoting infinite adventures in a child’s life. Through art, a child finds expression and freedom.

Moments from Hope for the Holidays and the opportunity for our families to attend The Bell are what make our community incredible. It doesn’t matter what walk of life you're in; there's always someone with a helping hand, ready to support the children we serve.

Thank you to everyone who helps make these experiences possible. As we move forward in 2026, Boys Town South Florida remains hopeful and steadfast in pursuing the goals that enable us to grow, serve and make a lasting difference.
