Sanders Lewallen Joins Boys Town South Florida as Development Director

As a seasoned nonprofit executive with more than 30 years of experience, Sanders brings expertise in major gift fundraising, capital campaigns and organizational advancement. He has secured multi-million-dollar gifts, while driving donor engagement and leading transformational initiatives across environmental, cultural and educational institutions.

"I am honored and humbled to serve Boys Town as it continues its powerful mission to change the way America cares for children and families,” said Sanders. “Our nation is strengthened by this important work and I am privileged to be on the Boys Town team.”

Sanders’ charisma and strong storytelling ability have bolstered relational fundraising that support donor cultivation and stewardship at nonprofit organizations such as Jack the Bike Man Children’s Charity, Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens, and the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society.

“I can think of no better way to spend one’s time, the most valuable thing we have, than to help Boys Town build stronger families in our communities," Sanders said.

Sanders holds a Bachelor of Arts in landscape architecture and geography from the University of Georgia and attended an executive management program at Harvard University. He is an avid amateur astronomer and telescope builder who has restored historic instruments at Harvard Observatory and Milton Academy while living in the Boston area.
