Anthem Medicaid Nevada Awards $50,000 Grant to Boys Town Nevada to Support Parenting for Success Program

Families, staff, and community partners gathered at the Boys Town Nevada campus for a meaningful moment: Anthem Medicaid Nevada presented a $50,000 grant to support Boys Town’s Parenting for Success program. The gift, delivered by Anthem Medicaid Nevada President Joy Thomas and Territory Manager David Kraus, reflects a partnership that has been growing for more than seven years and continues to make a real impact on families throughout Southern Nevada.

During the visit, Thomas and Kraus met with Boys Town Nevada Executive Director John Etzell to discuss how the program helps parents build stronger, healthier relationships with their children. In 2025 alone, Parenting for Success trained 285 parents, equipping them with research‑based tools and strategies that positively affected the lives of 712 children.

Thomas emphasized Anthem Medicaid Nevada’s commitment to strengthening families and reducing the stresses that can affect a child’s well‑being. “Parenting for Success equips parents with practical tools that help create stable, supportive home environments where children can thrive,” she shared during the check presentation.

Boys Town’s program focuses on early intervention and prevention, giving parents proven approaches to building positive family routines, setting healthy boundaries, and supporting children’s emotional and behavioral growth. The need for these resources continues to increase, especially as families face rising pressures at home, school, and in the community.

The new funding will help expand access to Parenting for Success classes across Southern Nevada, enabling more parents to build the skills and confidence they need to support their children’s development.

For Boys Town Nevada and Anthem Medicaid Nevada, it was more than a check presentation, it was a celebration of shared values and a renewed commitment to helping local families grow stronger together.
