Back to School 2022

Friday night football games, falling leaves and hot apple cider are just around the corner. That means it's back to school time for the children of Boys Town. Several weeks ago, 260 students headed back to class here in Omaha, fall sports began and the band and choir started rehearsing for their eagerly anticipated first concert of the year. When classes ended in the spring, our students had just celebrated the final beam being hoisted into place at the new Boys Town Education Center. This fall the exterior is nearly finished. Brickwork that is harmonious with the historical character of the Village of Boys Town is complete. Electrical and HVAC systems are in place, windows are being installed, and the interior drywall work will begin next month. Our ongoing research has shown time and again the powerful role of education in combating poverty, improving the standard of living and changing the trajectory of youth in need.
