Behind the scenes of every in‑home visit, supervisors like Crystal Price are busy building productive relationships, setting high standards and ensuring program integrity. These are the bedrock elements underlying the measurable progress families make every day.
A valued member of Boys Town since August 2020, Crystal began her career in Care Coordination and quickly advanced to Supervisor of Visitation. She played a key role in launching the Visitation program, often working independently to build the processes, procedures and expectations that set the foundation for long‑term success.
Within the past six months, her adaptability and leadership have been tested—and proven—as she assumed supervision of the In‑Home Family Services (IHFS) and Kinship programs. Along with new responsibilities, she transitioned from the Northern Iowa team to the Southern Iowa team, aligning with a new director, new leadership styles and a new set of peers.
Crystal embraced the transition with professionalism and resilience. She strengthened partnerships with Iowa Health & Human Services while holding her team accountable to high standards. Her leadership has fostered engagement and growth: one IHFS consultant has already achieved certification, and another is consistently helping families move toward positive outcomes.
She continues to emphasize thorough documentation and clear demonstration of service attempts—critical components of program integrity. These efforts show in program results and in the measurable progress made by the families her team serves across rural Iowa.
