Stop Child Abuse

Help Break the Cycle of Abuse This April

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued and loved.

This Child Abuse Prevention Month, we're on a mission to distribute 4,000 Calm Down Kits to families in Boys Town services by April 30th.

For every $25 donated, we will provide 5 Calm Down Kits to families currently receiving services at Boys Town.

In the past 5 years, an average of 45% of the girls and boys receiving Boys Town services in our out-of-home programs had previously been abused or neglected

Child trauma can lead to lifelong struggles with depression and self-worth. At Boys Town, we're changing this reality by equipping parents with proven strategies to stay calm during challenging moments.

Introducing the Calm Down Kit

Our research-backed Calm Down Kit contains two essential tools:

  • A Kid Tool that helps children identify healthy ways to manage emotions
  • A Parent Tool that gives adults a personalized Staying Calm Plan

Together, these tools prevent emotional situations from escalating, and create opportunities for positive teaching moments instead of harmful reactions.

Your Support is Helping End the Cycle of Abuse and Neglect

I have no reservations that bringing Brogan to Boys Town was the right move at all. Boys Town is an important member of my family.

And I truly believe that Boys Town was really the foundation that helped me get to where I am today, not only as a man, as a professional, but also as a father and a husband.

Jorge - Boys Town Graduate

I have said this to people before, that I did not know what was going on over there, in that square mile, but there are miracles that are taking place every single day over there.

Karen - Parent of Boys Town Youth

I think Destiny would, honestly, I think she would be dead or in jail if it wasn't for Boys Town. Boys Town is our saving grace.

Joni - Parent of Boys Town Youth

Boys Town luckily had the answer. Now that we're past it, now that he's home, we know we made the right decision.
