From Boys Town Kid to Family-Teacher
Rasheed grew up in North Carolina, in a neighborhood he knew he had to get out of. He needed a second chance. Boys Town gave him one, along with the resources to reach college and build a life that wasn't possible where he came from.
After college, he had his pick of jobs. But something kept pulling him back. As he puts it, coming back to Boys Town always felt like a call, and a few friends who saw it too nudged him in that direction.
Sixteen years later, Rasheed is still part of the Boys Town family, working as an Assistant Family-Teacher. He lives alongside kids who show up with the same doubts he once had, and he helps them find their path and their potential, the way someone once did for him.
