Some Kids Never Get to Be Celebrated

Every child deserves to be seen and rememberedespecially those who’ve already been through more than most.

Birthday Buddies is a simple monthly way to show up for a child through Boys Town.

For some children, birthdays pass quietly. No card. No acknowledgment. No reminder that they matter.

When a child receives a birthday card from someone who chose to show up, it sends a powerful message: You’re seen. You’re valued. You’re not alone. That moment may seem small, but for a child who’s experienced instability, it can mean everything

How It Works

Step 1:

Give Monthly. Your $18 monthly gift supports Boys Town’s work with children and families.

Step 2:

Get a Birthday Reminder. Each month, you'll receive a reminder to send in a card for the children celebrating birthdays that month.

Step 3:

Send a Card and Message. Your birthday message helps a child feel seen, valued, and remembered.

It doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be kind.

Birthday Buddies Do More Than Just Give.

  • You're choosing to show up.
  • You're helping make sure a child feels remembered.
  • You're being the kind of person who believes all kids deserve to be celebrated and seen.

And it says something good about who you are.

About Boys Town

For more than 100 years, Boys Town has supported children and families facing serious challenges — not through one time fixes, but through care designed to last.

That care includes:

  • Family style residential homes
  • Foster care services
  • Behavioral and mental health support
  • Education and medical care

Boys Town’s approach is built around coordination and continuity, so progress made in one place isn’t lost when life changes.

Birthday Buddies is one small, human way to be part of that system of care.
