Communication is connection. And connection is what every child deserves.

For nearly 50 years, Boys Town National Research Hospital has been on the front lines of a quiet crisis — one that shapes how millions of children learn, connect, and grow.

Communication disorders affect 1 in 12 children. Too many go undiagnosed. Too many wait too long for care. Too many families are left searching for answers.

Boys Town is changing that. And with your support, we can reach even more.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

When you give to Boys Town's speech, language, and hearing programs, you're not just funding innovation, you're funding the moment a child hears their parent's voice for the first time. The therapy session that unlocks a child's ability to read. The screening that catches a hearing loss before it shapes a life.

You're funding the ability for a child to communicate and connect with their loved ones and the world around them.

We've Spent 50 Years Earning Your Trust. Here's What We've Built.

During National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, your gift directly supports the research, screenings, therapy, and innovation that give every child the chance to be heard — and to connect with the world around them.

Boys Town pioneered the newborn hearing screening technologies now used in hospitals and clinics around the world.

Our cochlear implant program has given the gift of hearing to over 1,000 children, drawing families from every state and internationally because of the quality of care we provide.

The Center for Childhood Deafness, Language and Learning conducts translational research that moves directly from our 40+ labs into clinical practice — closing the gap between discovery and the children who need it most.

We bring care to communities through a mobile hearing research vehicle that takes screenings and studies directly to families who might otherwise go without. We offer free speech, language, and hearing screenings for children and teens ages 1–18. And through DLD and Me, we help families understand and navigate Developmental Language Disorder.

And the best is still ahead. A new hospital expansion will unite our researchers and clinicians under one roof in a state-of-the-art facility — designed to serve more children, faster, at the highest level of care anywhere in the country.
