Boys Town Washington DC Receives Taylor Swift Concert Tickets

Boys Town - Washington DC

"We don't need to share the same opinions as others, but we need to be respectful."

"My attitude has always been if you get better and you see success, that should motivate you to even work harder, so that's kinda how I approach everything."

"Fearless is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again… even though every time you've tried before you've lost."

These are all great quotes, especially for teens who are working on bettering themselves to become productive citizens in our society. These words of wisdom come from Taylor Swift. Many of our children look up to Taylor, and a few lucky Boys Town youth recently had the privilege to witness this idol in action.

Boys Town Washington DC received 20 tickets from Tickets for Kids® Charities, a fellow non-profit serving children, for the Taylor Swift concert on July 11, at the FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland (The same field the Redskins play at!).

This nonprofit partners with other youth-serving organizations across the United States to provide free access to museums, concerts, ballgames, zoos and much more so children who are most vulnerable feel included, valued and inspired.

Both youth from the girls and boys home, along with staff, had the opportunity to see Taylor Swift live, sitting only three rows away from the superstar while she performed!

Naomi Brooks, Family Home Program Consultant who currently oversees care of the girl's home, explained how amazing a concert like this is for the youth, "It really brings about normalcy for our youth. A lot of them don't get those kinds of experiences so this was a chance for them to do something that other teen girls do."

Big thanks to Tickets for Kids® Charities, they continue to do amazing work across the nation, providing many unique experiences for youth to fully embrace their childhood years.
