Father Flanagan's words, Today, I am happy to be among those who rejoice with you, graduates. What you make of your life rests with you. You will have moments of discouragement and moments of enthusiasm. May God keep you strong in moments of temptation, patient in adversity, humble in success, and courageous in the face of decisions involving your spiritual and material well-being. You cannot fail. To the class of 2026, we've waited a long time for this moment. Your hard work, late nights, and persistence are finally being recognized.
Everyone, take a second to look at the people sitting beside you. We have seen each other at our lowest points, and we've cheered each other on at our highest. Because of Boys Town, we aren't just leaving with diplomas, we're leaving with a toolkit for life. It is time for us to leave the nest and fly to make our journey. But as we go, remember, we never fly alone. It takes a village to get to a stage like this, and Boys Town will always be in our corner cheering us on. To my fellow seniors, we did it.
