On Tuesday afternoon, the Creighton Bluejays visited Boys Town, spending time with the kids, sharing stories, and shooting hoops.
For power forward Jasen Green, the visit was especially meaningful. He spent a lot of time on campus since his mom worked at Boys Town, making the experience feel like a homecoming.
“It felt good to give back,” Green said. “Giving my perspective on how I have dealt with some rough things in the past because I know a lot of them are going through similar things, I feel like I am most proud of being able to relate to them and share some words of wisdom.”
The visit was more than just a game of basketball. It was a reminder of the power of connection, mentorship, and community.
