The film offers an inside look at Boys Town’s mission through the real experiences of youth living on campus. With rare access inside one of the homes, it follows eight boys as they navigate both triumphs and challenges. Their stories reflect the vision Father Flanagan established in Omaha, Nebraska, when he created a town for children who might otherwise have ended up in prison, a place built on mentorship, structure, and the belief that there are no “bad” kids.
Dr. Friman notes that problem behavior always has underlying circumstances, and Boys Town focuses on understanding those causes rather than blaming or punishing. By teaching and guiding youth, Boys Town helps them realize their potential and the opportunity to build a better life for themselves.
