A term that you'll hear often from kids is 'trolling,' right? So trolling means that these are people who are kind of your haters, who are gonna be there consistently making really rude and mean comments. These are people we do not wanna respond to at all. So I would encourage parents to tell their kids that you do not want to respond to them.
Let's say that this is a friend that is maybe making rude comments over social media or text messages. I would encourage them to sit down with their friend and have a conversation in person and teach them how to be more assertive.
