How do you get kids more interested in dinner time?

View Transcript

You can do Tic-Tac-Toe. You can play Bingo particularly if you want to put things on the card that have to do with family history or previous family vacations. You can do anything that kids will think is fun. You can play Pictionary and draw together while you're eating and talking to each other.

To tell you the truth, this can also be a great time for some family devotional as well. If you're a family that likes to pray together or wants to take that time as an opportunity to find out what's the best thing in your day? What was the toughest thing in your day? Go around the table and practice giving each other compliments. There are all kinds of fun things to do at the table that get kids in the habit of talking to their parents and each other and enjoying it. These things have the benefit of teaching them some good conversation skills as well.
