Boys Town Louisiana Hosts Fourth Annual ReProm Event

On Nov. 14, more than 200 community members and Boys Town Louisiana board members put on their flashback to high school prom attire and attended Boys Town Louisiana’s fourth annual "Retro ReProm". This annual event focuses on raising money and awareness for the children and families of Boys Town Louisiana at an evening to remember with live music and dancing.

Six local community members were nominated for prom court, including Anne Doussan, Susan Barbé, Brandi Nye, Patrick Gros, Doug Foreman and Deuce McAllister. They were all in contention to be crowned king or queen and each dollar donated online counted as one vote for the court nominee of the donor’s choice.

Anne Doussan, a Real Estate Investment and Brokerage Agent, was crowned ReProm Queen. Anne has had a close connection to Boys Town Louisiana since her father began working with the organization in 1996. She is now helping Boys Town Louisiana by establishing the organization in communicating its mission, vision, and values to young professionals within the community.

Patrick Gros, President of Patrick J. Gros, CPA, A Professional Accounting Corporation, was crowned ReProm King. Patrick formed his current firm over 10 years ago, providing various services. In addition, he holds a position on the board and finance committee for several charitable organizations.

The King, Queen and fellow court members all raised a significant amount of money and brought many new faces to the event. “All of the community member candidates were really ambitious in their efforts to raise money for us,” said Lisa Hukill, Associate Vice President for Boys Town National Development. “We are so fortunate to have had these leaders embrace and support our cause.”

By the end of the festive evening, Boys Town Louisiana danced away with more than $100,000 and many memories with friends wearing amazing costumes reminiscent of their times.
