Boys Town California Community Support Program Looks Back on a Successful Year

Boys Town California Community Support Program® staff, families, and volunteers enjoyed a fun evening of food and gifts as they celebrated the end of a successful year on December 19.

One hundred people participated in the event held at the Courtyard Marriott in Santa Ana, a regular supporter of Boys Town California. The Courtyard Marriott provided a lovely spread of hors d'oeuvresand refreshments for the lively group.

The night was two-fold as it celebrated the successes of the families served throughout the year, and community volunteers, who were honored for mentoring parents enrolled in Common Sense Parenting® classes. This mentoring program provides additional support to parents and garners widespread awareness of the many community services Boys Town California offers.

Donations of gifts and turkey dinners came pouring in from other local organizations and individuals during the week leading up to the event, ensuring every family left the celebration with a turkey dinner or gifts for their kids.

“It’s amazing how everything came together. Donations seemed to appear out of the woodwork and made for a very nice addition to our evening,” said Shay Sorrells, Senior Director of Program Operations.
