Make This Christmas Special for a Child

Adopt a Child

This holiday season, Boys Town New England will serve more than 300 children through our annual “Adopt a Child Christmas Gift Drive”. Most of our children would receive nothing on Christmas morning if not for your generosity, thank you for helping to make a difference in their lives!

The Details:

  • Matching: We want to make sure you are comfortable with your donation. Please let us know which level of support you would like to offer:
    • Child is in need of some support: 2-3 gifts, per child should not exceed $75
    • Child is in need of more support: 3-4 gifts, per child should not exceed $150
    • Child is in need of full support: 5-7 gifts, per child should not exceed $200
  • Wish Lists: Our children are encouraged to write a wish list to help you choose gifts that they will enjoy. This is just a list of ideas; please do not feel obligated to purchase all items on the list. A list of children and their wish lists will be sent to you by Friday, November 9.
  • Wrapping: Gift should be left unwrapped. We want to make sure our families are still able to feel involved in this process, and do so by allowing parents to wrap the gifts for their children. Wrapping paper and tape donations are always welcome.
  • Delivery: Gifts should be delivered to either our Portsmouth or Providence Offices by Friday, December 7, to give our staff time to sort and deliver to the families. If you need help coordinating a timely drop-off we would be more than happy to assist!
  • Tax Letters and Thank Yous: Please be prepared to provide names, addresses and total value of items purchased for all donors so that we are able to provide tax deduction letters and thank you notes.

We cannot thank you enough for your commitment to Boys Town’s children and families. If you plan to participate in the Drive this year please let us know by Wednesday, October 31.

You can contact our office at 401-845-2250 ext. 43701 or email Elizabeth Rose, Donor Relations Specialist, at to sign up and with any questions.
