​Executive Vice President of Health Care and Director and Chief Medical Officer at Boys Town National Research Hospital® and Medical Clinics

As executive vice president of Health Care, Dr. Edward Kolb is responsible for all patient services and research at Boys Town National Research Hospital. As the director and chief medical officer of the Hospital and Medical Clinics, Dr. Kolb is responsible for the operations of Boys Town Hospital and several multi-specialty and pediatric clinics throughout Omaha and Council Bluffs, as well as outreach clinics in surrounding Nebraska and Iowa communities, and the behavioral health residential treatment center.

In addition to his executive roles, Dr. Kolb continues to work as a physician. He is board-certified in pediatrics and in anesthesiology, with a subspecialty certification in pediatric anesthesiology. He was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed residency training in pediatrics at the University of Washington in Seattle and residency training in anesthesiology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Kolb received his MBA degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.​
