Boys Town Intervention and Assessment Services℠

At this level, we provide care for abused, neglected, runaway and delinquent youth by removing them from dangerous situations, assessing their needs, stabilizing their behavior and beginning to work toward family reunification or other permanent care.

At Boys Town Washington D.C., these youngsters receive care in a short-term residential shelter. Youth are referred by state agencies; many are involved in the juvenile justice system or are runaways. An average length of stay for children is 30 days.
