Boys Town Washington, D.C., Receives $15,000

Boys Town Washington, D.C., received $15,000 from the Employees Community Fund (ECF) of the Boeing Company to be used towards their In-Home Family Services Program.

Boeing’s ECF is a unique employee-owned and directed giving program that allows employees to support the needs of their local communities. It is made up of many locally owned, employee-managed pooled funds at more than 60 sites around the world. Each Fund tailors its giving to meet community needs.

“Our goal is to use the momentum we’ve received and harness it in order to increase our capital at the site,” said Tosha Roundtree, Boys Town Washington, D.C., Development Director. “We plan to serve more children and families in the DC area, and with partners such as Boeing, we will be able to reach our goal.”

Employee contributions are either directed to an ECF pooled fund or to an eligible nonprofit of the employee's choice through payroll deductions or one-time gifts. Boeing pays all administrative costs for the Fund so that 100 percent of every employee dollar contributed goes to support the community. More than 4,000 nonprofit organizations benefit each year from the average $31 million in employee contributions each year. Boys Town Washington, D.C., is honored to have been one of Boeing’s recipients.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Boeing,” said Jeff Peterson, Boys Town Washington, D.C., Executive Director. “We look forward to building a lasting relationship with the company and their employees.”
