Children and parents can tap in to a wide variety of resources to learn how to help themselves through advice from our experts, or receive direct care through specialized services. Most resources focus on prevention rather than intervention.  

  • Boys Town Outpatient Behavioral HealthSM Services use Boys Town’s research-proven methods to provide specialized care for children with serious behavioral problems and counseling for their families. These services are part of the Boys Town Center for Behavioral HealthSM.
  • Common Sense Parenting® provides parents and other caregivers with proven techniques and skills that can help them build good family relationships, prevent and correct misbehavior, and improve positive behavior.  These informative classes are usually presented in the community and at schools. Classes are available for parents of preschoolers/toddlers and school-aged children, and are also presented in Spanish.
  • The Boys Town National HotlineSM (800-448-3000) is a free resource and counseling service that assists youth and parents 24/7, year round, nationwide. The Hotline received more than 9,000 calls from Texans in 2009.
  • Boys Town PressSM produces books, audio products, DVDs, display materials and other resources to assist children, parents, caregivers, educators and other professionals. Press materials purchased in Texas touched the lives of nearly 55,000 children and adults in 2009.
  • YourLifeYourVoice.org is a special website that enables and encourages teens to share their problems and concerns in positive ways and provides access to immediate help in a crisis.
  • Parenting.orgSM is a free online resource that provides practical, easy-to-use materials and information for parents and caregivers of children of all ages.
