Grant Gives South Florida Funds for In-Home Family Services

Boys Town South Florida was grateful to have recently received a grant from The Jim Moran Foundation totaling $104,487 for In-Home Family Services. With additional funding from the Children’s Services Council and in-kind support from Boys Town, the program will provide at-risk youth and families in northern Broward County with critical intervention and family strengthening services.
"The support of The Jim Moran Foundation will enable us to continue serving Broward County's troubled families,” said Amy Simpson, Executive Director of Boys Town South Florida. “We are looking forward to our partnership."
Boys Town has been providing In-Home Family Services in Broward County since 2005. The program accepts referrals from the Broward County Sheriff's Office, local schools and other community sources, providing assistance for families in Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach and Coral Springs.
“This year we were facing a funding cut that would have impacted our services in Broward County, and The Jim Moran Foundation stepped in to help,” Simpson said. “With budget dollars being tight, we were very pleased and relieved to receive the award.”
The mission of The Jim Moran Foundation is to improve the quality of life for the youth and families of Florida through the support of innovative programs and opportunities that meet the ever-changing needs of the community.
