The Girls and Boys Town Training Evaluation and Certification Center (NRTC) provides professional services to practitioners and organizations worldwide in the fields of Child and Family Services, Behavioral Health and Education Services. In 2005, nearly one million children and families received help through outreach and professional training programs.

From school safety and reading programs to parent education and family intervention programs, we assess, develop and implement specialized programs for organizations and individuals in child and family services, education, juvenile justice and behavioral health.

We are committed to providing you with solutions that bring help, hope and healing to children and families.

Education Services
The Education Services Division provides staff development training and assessments to teachers and administrators in elementary, middle and secondary school settings. Our education experts share the concepts, strategies and methods of the Girls and Boys Town Education Model through training such as The Well-Managed Classroom, Specialized Classroom Management, Administrative Intervention and Dealing With Bullying.

Juvenile Justice Services
Rehabilitating youth requires more than simple incarceration, coercion and forced compliance with rules. Now, more than ever, young offenders need to learn the skills that will encourage them to be responsible and accountable for their actions. Research indicates basic social and life skills enable youth to make better decisions and take control of their lives. Juvenile Justice Services provides professional development for facilities, program staff and other professionals to get involved in the rehabilitation process and provide effective intervention.

Behavioral Health Services
Girls and Boys Town Psychoeducational Treatment Model (popularly known as PEM®) is a nationally recognized model of care that combines social skill instruction with effective intervention strategies. PEM® involves daily, ongoing teaching to support youth throughout their treatment, creating safe environments and improving youth treatment outcomes.
