OVERVIEW

This two-day professional development seminar is designed to provide you with practical skills and techniques to establish effective partnerships with hard-to-reach parents.

This training will identify the most common obstacles and barriers between schools and families. You will learn and practice methods of overcoming obstacles, building trust and increasing communication with families. In addition, you will learn the Principles of Effective Partnerships. Find out why some parents don't get involved in their children's education, and discover how you can increase parental involvement.

Group discussions and activities will help you identify family strengths and use problem-solving to help parents and school personnel make changes that will benefit students.
