Reading Is FAME®
Program Consultation

PREREQUISITE

We recommend that the Reading Is FAME^® program be used for a period of six to eight weeks before any consultation services are provided. If you wish to implement Reading Is FAME, consultation is a required component, and you must indicate your intent to purchase consultation services at the time you contract for training.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE

Consultation can be provided at the district, program, school or classroom level and involve administrators, educators and support staff.

BENEFITS OF SERVICE

Consultation ensures the successful implementation of the Reading Is FAME curriculum within a district, school or classroom. Either a verbal or written consultation summary, including recommendations for continued implementation, is provided to assist teachers and administrators in problem-solving, goal-setting and monitoring of program practices. In the consultation, you will receive the following:

• Assistance with implementing research-proven practices and activities specifically related to the Reading Is FAME curriculum
• Help in preparing for and implementing the curriculum
• Individualized support throughout the implementation phase
• Feedback on issues related to the use of Reading Is FAME and its various components
• Opportunities to share experiences, receive reinforcement, ask for clarification, participate in problem-solving, discuss placement or assessment issues, and make appropriate program adjustments
• Guided curricular adaptations that can be used to address situations unique to your setting and students
• Instruction on how to reduce the potential for program drift
