TRAINING OBJECTIVES
Common Sense Parenting of Toddlers and Preschoolers: Training of Trainers equips you with the knowledge, techniques, and materials needed to conduct Common Sense Parenting of Toddlers and Preschoolers classes in your community. You will master the content of each of the program's seven sessions. You will become proficient in using Common Sense Parenting's five training components - review, instruction, modeling, practice and feedback, and summary - to emphasize experiential learning. You will also receive a trainer's kit, which includes the four main instructional tools used to present the program - a parent book, a parent workbook, narrated videotaped examples of the parenting skills, and the trainer's guide. The three-day training of trainer's workshop includes lecture and discussion, small-group activities, videotaped examples, question and answer periods, skill practice and individual mock presentations.
