OVERVIEW

Common Sense Parenting of Toddlers and Preschoolers: Training of Trainers is an in-depth, and comprehensive three-day workshop that equips professionals with the knowledge, techniques, and materials to conduct Common Sense Parenting of Toddlers and Preschoolers classes in their communities.

Common Sense Parenting of Toddlers and Preschoolers is a practical, skill-based parenting program designed to occur in 7 two-hour sessions. In the course, parents have an opportunity to learn, practice and apply valuable new parenting skills. These skills will enable them to learn to nurture their children's development and combine affection and discipline to decrease their children's negative behaviors and increase their positive behaviors.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Anyone interested in helping parents improve their skills when dealing with young children ages 2-5 is encouraged to attend. Professionals who might especially be interested are early childhood educators, parent educators, counselors and therapists, EAP providers, social service providers, faith-based program providers and military family outreach coordinators.

  • Help parents set consistent, reasonable expectations based on their child's age, developmental and skill level.
