OVERVIEW
This workshop applies the skills you learned in the Common Sense Parenting Training of Trainers workshop to specifically address how to conduct classes for parents of 2-to-5-year-olds. Use this training to learn how to conduct a seven-session course that gives parents the opportunity to learn, practice and apply valuable new parenting skills. You will be able to give parents a logical, sensible approach to raising young children.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This training is designed for early childhood educators, parent educators, counselors and therapists, EAP providers, social service providers, faith-based program providers, and military family outreach coordinators.

In this training-of-trainers workshop you will learn to:
- Help parents set consistent, reasonable expectations based on their child's age, developmental and skill level.
- Help parents proactively teach their young children important skills that will prevent problems and increase their success.
- Teach parents to use clear specific teaching techniques and effective consequences to increase acceptable behavior and decrease problem behaviors.
- Show parents how to remain calm in intense situations and as well as teach their children to calm themselves when they are upset.
- Motivate parents to develop routines and traditions that create cherished family memories.
