When transitioning to a new room or moving up in daycare, are there things to do to prepare your child?

What I would be looking for if my child's ready to transition to the next room because they've become a certain age are the daycare’s procedures or protocols for transitioning kids to the next room. Does it solely depend on the age or are they looking at the developmental level of the child. You want your child to be developmentally ready to transition into the next room. You also want to have some information about the activities that they are going to do in the next room. How are they going to ease that transition to help your child cope with changing into a room with other children and other providers and help them become familiar with that setting? How are the play activities different? How is the schedule different? How are the meals different? Those are the types of questions I would be looking to ask the childcare providers when your child is ready to transition into the next room.
