What Social or Life Skills Can My Child Learn by Playing Sports?

View Transcript

One of our most important skills is that we follow the coach's instructions. Then along with that, we implement the coach's feedback and accept it. So accept and implement the coach's feedback is extremely important. And then getting along with your teammates, getting along with your peers. Those three are paramount to what we do, because not only is that important for your team to function that way. As a coach, it's impossible to have success if you have players that can't accept feedback, they don't implement feedback, they don't get along with one another. Those things kind of destroy the whole team environment. We know that if we teach that through sports, that those are the things that those kids are going to need when they head into the real world to function in a family or an environment at work
