Teachers are good informants to an extent. So they may pick up on signs that a child is not performing as well compared to a typically developing peer. So there may be issues with organization, planning and impulse control, delayed gratification. And if these characteristics are described consistently and kids are not responsive to basic kind of common sense interventions that teachers might have in their toolbox, that may be a sign, and it's usually a sign, that they need more specialized interventions.
