Is it Reasonable to Compare My Kids to Other Kids?

But you have to be careful, because a lot of times kids don't like to be compared especially to their peers. But it's okay pointing...I would say as opposed to comparing them, just point out and reward that good behavior. Point out that a young man or a young woman did some act of character, whether it was picking up trash or helping a peer or whatever it may be. An act of good sportsmanship on the field. We do that a lot, we point out to our kids in our ​sports program that, "Hey, look what so and so did on the field. We need more of that." As opposed to comparing them, just pointing it out and rewarding it.
