How involved should I be in helping my children with their homework?

We want to make sure we are starting our kids with success. Probably the first thing is to make sure they have all the supplies they need and again, this is something you can start a few weeks ahead of time. Beat the rush out to the supermarket and make sure they have all the supplies that they need. Schools do a wonderful job of providing that list and even if they don't, make sure that they have pens and pencils, and notebooks and folders is key.

As school is starting, it is important to stay on track with your kids. Knowing how to contact the teacher is probably one of the most important things. Whether to contact them through phone or email would be important. Another piece depends on the kids age is going to decide on how much you need to sit down and do homework with them. Again, it is important to be as involved as possible from the get-go.
