Sad or Depressed with Relationship Issues

If you have a child who is sad or depressed because of an unhealthy relationship at school, try the following parenting tips:

  • Remind your child often that she can come to you with any problems and that you will listen to her without judging.
  • Teach your child to deal with depressing circumstances head on with healthy coping skills like journaling, exercising and getting involved in other activities. Train him to face life with confidence and courage.
  • Instilling a strong sense of empowerment and self-worth into your daughter, especially if she is young, will help her have a happy, productive life as an adult.
