KU’s Roy Williams to Speak May 2
at Boys Town Booster Banquet

BOYS TOWN, Nebraska — After winning another Big XII Championship and making his 13th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, University of Kansas Coach Roy Williams will be the featured speaker at Boys Town Booster Banquet on Thursday May 2.

The event, honoring Boys Town athletes, will begin at 7:15 p.m. at Holiday Inn Convention Center, 72nd and Grover Street in Omaha. More than a 1,000 children and adults are expected to attend this family oriented event.

Williams is one of the most respected coaches in the Division I today. With a .808 winning percentage and a record of 382-91, Williams is among the all-time winning Division I coaches.

Williams' Jayhawks became the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Tournament and one of the favorites to win this year’s national championship.
Tickets for the Boys Town Booster Banquet are $65 each, or $650 for a table of 10.To make reservations, please contact Sandy Fuder at (402) 758-8978 or order tickets by making checks payable to Boys Town Boosters and mailing to 14562 Hascall St., Omaha, Neb., 68144. Tickets are non-refundable and a portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible.

The Boys Town Boosters, a local group of business professionals, sponsor the annual banquet to raise funds for Boys Town athletic programs and benefit hundreds of children.

Nationally last year, Boys Town provided direct care to more than 37,000 children and extended its services to more than 1.5 million children and families through the Boys Town National Hotline (1-800-448-3000) and training and outreach programs.
