Help Available for Those Reeling from Omaha Mall Shooting Tragedy

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, a senseless and tragic event happened at Westroads Mall in Omaha, Neb. I ask that each of us, in our thoughts and prayers, remember those whose innocent lives were taken. 

This event directly affects everyone in our community. The Girls and Boys Town National Hotline is actively involved in helping our community and nation heal from this tragedy. If you, or anyone you know – especially children and parents – need help, please contact our Hotline at 1-800-448-3000.   Hotline counselors provide a free service to those who need someone to talk to, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This is a troubling time for all of us.  As parents, we have a special role in helping our children deal with this violent act.  Click here for help in ways you can discuss this tragedy with your kids.
