Boys Town New York Participates in Spin for Kids: Cycling for a Cause

Boys Town New York and the Young Leadership Council (YLC) hosted a “Spin for Kids” class on Sunday, May 17, 2015. The day of fitness featured one of New York City’s leading instructors, Ms. Claudia Zakrewski and was held at Cyc Fitness, one of the best cycling locations around New York City. The 45 minute event helped raise awareness on programs offered to the children, families and communities at Boys Town New York.

“We thoroughly enjoy sharing these experiences with the Boys Town New York employees,” said Angela Matthews, President of the Young Leadership Council. “We strive to do more than write a check. We want to learn about these kids’ stories so we can help them achieve their highest potential.”

“We are so grateful to the Young Leadership Council for their continuous support of Boys Town New York,” said Jon Jelley, Executive Director, Boys Town New York. “This is an excellent opportunity to share information about our wonderful programs through a fun and social environment.”

A special thank you goes out to Francesca Hogi, member of the YLC and founder of Made Together Matching. Hogi generously hosted and donated the space for the spin class. Participants included representatives from Am Social Media, Made Together Matching, Bloomberg LP, Schneider Electric, 52X Consulting LLC., Moses & Singer LLP, Legal Aids Society and Boys Town New York employees.

All proceeds from the class benefited the Boys Town New York youth. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated and sweated for a great cause!

The Young Leadership Council is a group of Young professionals based in New York City who are out to make a positive impact on at risk children in New York City. The YLC partners with 501 (c) (3) organizations to raise funds and bring awareness to worthy causes.
