Family Reunification Program
In this program, youth receive care that can reduce recidivism and repeat offending and enable them to be reunited with their families after a shorter time in out-of-home placement. This approach blends two of Boys Town’s research-proven programs: Family Homes and In-Home Family ServicesSM. The Family Reunification Program is tailored for families with youth who are under the jurisdiction of the juvenile court and require out-of-home placement, and that want their children to return home in a positive way. The program provides four to six months of targeted, family-style residential care to youth, while the family participates in an in-home intervention. These services begin simultaneously; the in-home services intensify as youth near reunification and then continue for up to three months after youth are reunited with their family.
