TD Charitable Foundation Awards Grant to Boys Town New York February 2010
Boys Town New York is pleased to announce a grant from the TD Charitable Foundation. The award will help serve Boys Town kids at its Alternative Public School in Brooklyn by supporting the Life Skills Program for At-Risk youth this summer.“Boys Town New York is thrilled to accept this grant, and we appreciate the generosity of TD Bank,” said Boys Town New York Executive Director Cindy Armijo. “TD Bank is committed to giving back. Through this award, TD Bank has made it possible for us to serve boys and girls in need and carry out the dream of Father Flanagan.”
TD Bank New York City Market President, Peter Meyer, presented the award on January 27th and met two Boys Town New York youth, Jonathan and Sherven. During the visit, Meyer learned more about their goals and aspirations. Both boys have big dreams and Meyer gave them lots of encouragement. He asked them to keep in touch and even gave them his business card, so they can let him know how they are doing. Also on hand were members of the Boys Town New York Executive Team, the Board of Directors and Development Committee, as well as several TD Bank senior staff members.
