Step 3: The Admission Phase

This final phase prepares both the guardian and the child for the day the child will come to live at Boys Town. An admissions representative will confirm that all of the required documentation has been submitted. Once the final admissions requirements have been met, the legal guardian will be contacted to schedule an admission date for the child's arrival at Boys Town.

How to Get Started

Submit the following information:

  1. A handwritten letter from the child saying "I want to come" is essential.
  2. If you have clinical psychological evaluations of your child, an IQ assessment and a social history, send them in right away. Perhaps you can attain them from your child's school or a therapist. If you're having trouble obtaining these, let us know.
  3. School grades, transcripts and behavioral information.
  4. A current physical examination and immunization records within the last year.
